What’s Cooking? 12/3/12

Hello  from Vegetarian Mamma!  December has arrived!  Are you getting all your holiday shopping done?  We actually are almost done and everything is about wrapped!  Crazy, I know! We started really early this year.  What is the “hot” item that your kids want this year?  For us, it is the Jake and the Neverland Pirates toys.

As a quick reminder, we like to keep our meals simple, often times you can make them ahead and even store some meals in the freezer!  We focus on recipes that are adaptable; for vegans, vegetarians and meat lovers alike!

LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT THIS WEEK’S DINNER MENU…

My family loved this lima bean dish!  It was almost like a stew!  YUM!  The bread sticks will be perfect for dipping!  You won’t be disappointed with this yummy dish!
Its Tuesday and that means its Breakfast for Dinner tonight!  Whip up some pancakes using your Better Batter mix and top it with this yummy Blueberry Pineapple Compote!  You’ll love the deep color of the compote!

WednesdayPotato Corn Chowder served with warm rolls For tonight’s recipe we are taking one from the online recipe book of Better Batter!  Did you know that there are TONS of awesome recipes at your fingertips, if you visit betterbatter.org?  You will love this Potato Corn Chowder!  Perfect for a chilly day!
This dish is full of fantastic flavor!  I love capers and olives together!  The lemon just livens things up a bit!  Your tastebuds will thank you for making this dish! Why not try your hand at making your own pasta tonight using your Better Batter Flour?
We made it through another week!  I hope that your week was filled with lots of happiness and you get to relax this weekend!  Sounds perfect, doesn’t it?  I realize perfect doesn’t always happen, but I do hope that you’ll enjoy this simple dinner tonight!
See you next week!
