What’s Cooking? 1/21/13


Hello  from Vegetarian Mamma and welcome to another addition of What’s Cooking!  So what have you been cooking up at your house?  I hope that you have been finding some recipes and enjoying some GREAT food!

As a quick reminder, we like to keep our meals simple, often times you can make them ahead and even store some meals in the freezer!  We focus on recipes that are adaptable; for vegans, vegetarians and meat lovers alike!

 

LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT THIS WEEK’S DINNER MENU…

I am a big fan of this recipe!  The contrast of colors is beautiful and the taste is so bold!  It made me feel like I was eating at a fancy restaurant but it was SUPER easy to make! For dessert we are serving up some yummy chocolate covered cherry cookies!

Tuesday – Crustless Quiche served with fresh fruit and toast

This recipe was very simple to make and tasted great!  It is great for making and sticking in the oven!  I love it when dinner cooks itself in the oven and I get to play with the kids a little longer! I use this recipe to make my homemade bread.  It makes the best toast!

WednesdayCreamy Garlic Potato Soup served with rolls

This is a very tasty recipe that is perfect for this time of year!  It will certainly warm your soul! Be sure to make a batch of rolls to dip into your soup! YUM!

This is another fix it and forget it dish.  Two in one week, I know I am spoiling you!  LOL  Mix this yummy dish together and let it bake while you play with the kids or get a few extra chores finished before dinner! Or…sit and enjoy a glass of wine! You pick which option works for you!
Friday– Decorate your own pizza crust night
Get the entire family involved tonight by creating a pizza bar!  Each family member can decorate their own pizza!  Include fun toppings such as olives, peppers, tomato, spinach, pineapple or pear!
